Past week's birding.

A whole week without updating the blog - I knew this would happen once my initial interest had worn off!

29/9/2026 - Pagney - a bit of Woopigeon and Stock Dove passage, one male Pochard and a Redstart.

30/9/2026 - Sad Lake - perhaps the worst birding day there I've ever had, and I've had plenty - nine Lapwings and a Black-headed Gull were present, not that that's special really.

1/10/2026 - Pagney - about 60 Lapwings, a Reed Warbler, a Bluethroat and eleven Teal, a few Meadow Pipits and a House Martin.

3/10/2026 - Pagney - four Penduline Tits, four Dunlin.

4/10/2026 - Pagney - New species for the site - a Nutcracker that flew over - horrible views as only seen from below and behind at first then turned only when it was distant. Really would have preferred a nicer view of such an unusual bird for the place. Also four Dunlin.

5/10/2026 - Pagney - Five Dunlin, one Zitting Cisticola, one Cirl Bunting, one Teal, six Snipe, one Black-headed Gull, a few calls from passing Siskins and lots of mixed calls from unclassified Meadow and Water Pipits.
