Pagney 4/11/2026

It felt good to be out this morning. Optimism was running high. Sadly it was not to be. 18 Cranes flew over on migration at 10h30 and I thought I heard Crossbill noises from three chubby passerines but best to err on the side of caution. A Woodlark was heard.  19 Grey Herons with six Great White Egrets were in the newly cut field next to the pit.

Still no sign of Captain Excubitor the Great Grey Shrike nor of any Bearded Reedlings in the very dry reedbed.
